FAVOURITE BLOGGERS | BECCA ROSE

One of my favourite bloggers, Becca Rose. I adore her blog and her YouTube videos are always brilliant, I especially loved the Disneyland vlogs with her lovely sister. My sister Lauren and I always want to go in adventures after watching her vlogs. Becca has such amazing style and her beauty picks are always so beautiful. I have a really special post for you lovelies today, it's an interview with my sister, Lauren from laurenlovesparis.

What's your favourite skin are product?

I really like the Monu face mask, it's a hydrating clay mask that's perfect for dry skin. It smells like lavender, really nice. 

What's your must have items in your makeup bag?

the Collection concealer as it's super cheap, compact and great at its job, L'oreal infallible eyeliner is great for lining on top of your lashes for amazing full volume and a nude lipstick, it goes with anything! Rimmel Notting Hill Nude is a gorgeous shade. 

What would you order from Starbucks?

In summer I would have a mango and passion fruit frappucino and in winter I like hot chocolate, no cream thank you!

What pretty magazines adorn your bookshelves?

Company, Vogue, Glamour, Elle and space themed magazines, I like astronomy and Brian Cox 

Favourite trends this season?

Monochrome, classic and timeless, reminiscent of Chanel. Pastels like those in Louis Vuitton collections and it makes me think of cake!

What is your favourite thing to wear?

I'm a jeans, shirt and jumper kind of girl. I want to be comfortable while I study but it also love a dress teamed with biker boots for days off. 

Who is your style idol?

I like Alexa Chung, her style is so pretty and versatile, effortlessly cool and suits every trend. 

What would your perfect day go like?

Start the day with cheese on toast with tomatoes with orange and cranberry juice, 

Shopping, cinema times, I'd treat myself to a seeded cheese toastie from pret with a hot chocolate, 

Have you got a favourite tea?

I like whittard cranberry tea, iced or lipton's lemon or peach tea.

What online shops are your favourites?

Topshop, New Look, ASOS, Amazon, Boots and Superdrug

Where do you love to shop?

Topshop, Fred Perry, All Saints, Victoria's Secret and Lush

Favourite tv show? You can pick more than one!

I love Gossip Girl, Once Upon A Time, the Big Bang Theory, Plebs 'they keep callin me mushroom', Friday Night dinner (I'm a little obsessed with Tom rosenthal) & Friends 'Janine!' 'The routine!' 'My sandwich!' Oooh and I love Douglas Booth so definitely Great Expectations.

Who would you cast to play you in a film?

Audrey Tatou or Selma Blair because you think I look like her. 

You're renting a video (pretend we're back in the 90's) what do you pick?

Pretty in Pink, 80's movie awesomeness

Favourite retro tv show?

Lizzie McGuire, the Wonder Years, That's So Raven, Two of a Kind, the Weekenders (chugafreeze, chilli cheese fries)

I would order a classic hot chocolate topped with whipped cream.

My favourite trends for this season and spring/summer are monochrome and floral.

What is your favourite thing to wear?
My favourite thing to wear is a black slouchy blazer. I incorporate it into both casual daywear and more dressed up outfits.

What does your perfect day consist of?
My perfect day consists of shopping and lunch with friends, then home to bake homemade savoury muffins and ciabatta bread for tea. Finally settling down in front of the telly or with a magazine.

Do you have a favourite tea?
Peppermint and nettle.

Which are your favourite online shops?
ASOS & Missguided.

What's your top fashion tip?
I don't try and follow every fashion trend, I only interpret the ones I really like and know will suit me.

Where do you love to shop?
Topshop, River Island, ASOS and Missguided for fashion and accessories. Boots and Superdrug for skincare and cosmetics.

Where do you take your inspiration from?
Paul Smith, Stella McCartney, Givenchy and Topshop Unique.

An illustration inspired by the super gorgeous Lena Dunham and her amazing yellow dress at the Golden Globes this January. I'm such a huge fan of Girls, have you guys seen it yet? I'm desperate for the whole box set of awesomeness. I adore Lena and her style and couldn't resist making some artwork based on her look. Hope you lovelies like it.

p.s. you can get am illustrated print Lena from my little shop, she looks awesome in any office or bedroom wall or to brighten up dark halls.

Lovely Jaymie from By Jaymie has whipped up a gorgeous feature about my work and the illustration package I sent her. I illustrated a portrait of the super beaut Jaymie and her adorable kitty cat Gatsby, how sweet is he? Jaymie's blog is darling, with picturesque posts about the sweetest things, love her latest one about Bath and you can find all her beautiful illustrations and creations nestled amongst them. GHOST DREAM

In my absence I've been working on these Met Ball illustrations, I felt really inspired by them and seeing as they featured some of my favourite lovelies I thought they'd be a really good way of getting back into things. I've been really ill lately so haven't been illustrating the mountainous volumes I usually do. I've been whipping up something nice for the Ballad Of girls and hope to share soon. There will be more new lovelies in my etsy shop too so keep an eye out if you wish.

Other than that I've been watching Once Upon A Time, (all our favourite tv shows are ending, New Girl *sob*, Fringe, Supernatural), drinking tea and trying to make the garden pretty so that summer time can be enjoyed outside (basically my lovely boyfriend has been doing all the hard, manly work and I've been weeding and planting seeds) Hope you're all having a lovely week sweets ♥
