This month and last actually we've been hooked on Homeland, Danes & Lewis are the best! It's the perfect box set to start the Autumn with and makes me wish I was super clever, able to drive flashy cars and had swishy golden locks like Claire Danes. If you haven't started this epic series, start from season one and fuel up on water and your favourite snack. It's addictive.

FILM & TV THURSDAYS: DAWSON'S CREEK
I've been getting into season 2 of Dawson's Creek on Netflix and it's so good. I kind of missed it the first time round, so it hasn't got the nostalgia I get from Sabrina or Lizzie McGuire, which is a shame but it's still so good! So far I love Joey, Pacey and Jen but I'm not keen on Dawson, he's so annoying! It's a perfect Thursday night tv show and makes me miss being a teenager so much.

FILM & TV THURSDAYS: DEXTER SEASON 2
OK, now we're really late to this show and I know how amazing it is but sometimes you just have to accept that and realise that there's six beautiful seasons ahead of you and nobody can take that away, not nobody, not no how.
So my latest obsession is season 2 of Dexter in all its wicked glory and so far, I'm loving it. It's such a unique show and since I always have some kind of empathy with the bad guy, I'm looking at you Alex DeLarge, Tate Langdon, David from The Lost Boys, I was hooked.

FILM & TV THURSDAYS: ONCE UPON A TIME
So Once Upon A Time is a show about fairytales mixed with the modern world but still set in a little bubble that is the town of Storybrook. I just adore this show, it's a real escape every episode and there's a whole lot of drama and suspense. Don't be deceived the storybook title, it's not all Cinderella's castle and fairy dust, there's sword swinging, plotting and deception. Definitely a must to rent out,
Watch with: your family or GF/ BF/ BFF
Goes well with: popcorn, cherry vanilla coke, let's face it, one episode of anything is never enough & a yankee candle of choice, mine's cinnamon stick, reminds me of forests,

Lately Matt and I have been loving forest walks and soaking up the sun in our little garden, then pulling down the blinds and snuggling up with the latest season of GOT under a huge floral blanket. Tea and victoria sponge cake from M&S is the perfect way to spend a weekend.
How do you like spending early spring weekends?

FRIDAY LOVES: THE GIRLS EDITION
ADORE YOU
TGIF TGIF, so while I wish I could play this tune by Katy Perry and pretend it's summer, the reality is more like tea in my pyjamas with the central heating on, tuning in to another netflix marathon. Here's an edition of FRIDAY LOVES, in which I tell you what's been making me happy this week or this month and hopefully you'll enjoy them too!
1. Alexa Chung's IT, oh yeah it's pastel pink, written by Alexa Chung WITH pictures and it's got her very own cat eye on the front in all its glittering glory. Who doesn't love Alexa Chung? This was gifted to me by my little sister, who knows me all to well and it's been off my bookshelf more than it's been on, sitting pretty. If you haven't already got this or at least have flicked through it in your local Urban Outfitters then please do! It's such so pretty! And it's a very interesting read.
2. Bangerz by Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana (those days are over, I say to myself as I weep into a Disney HM thermos full of fruit and yogurt) Love her or not, this album is actually amazing, that girl can sing! I've had it on pretty much non stop since it came out, my particular favourite is my Friday jam, 'we can't stop' see if you can stop yourself flicking your hair from side to side, rolling your hands and turning this tune up after a working week.
3. Models Own hyper gel in lilac sheen, this little pastel beauty has been my BFF since I got my hands on it this month. It's such a lovely colour, super easy to apply and it seems to last well (but I'm forever washing up or typing or drawing so my hands get some serious abuse) I think it's going to be a film favourite in the spring and (hopefully) summer months!
4. Right now the Vampire Diaries blu ray box set has been on my wishlist for a while now and I'm still in the 'I can't afford anything but basics' category but when I hopefully do get the pennies I'll be treating myself to this! It's safe to say Matt and I are addicted (that's a subtle term) to the show and if you've seen it you'll know how good it is.

NEVER NOT CHASING A MILLION THINGS I WANT
The super lovely Bee & Luke from The Finer Things Club have featured my Daenerys print on their awesome blog, along with some other amazing tv show and movie related coolness by other illustrators, I especially like the Dwight print by Lyzi of Being Little and the Jesse from Breaking Bad print by BestPlayEver. I'm loving their blog, it's full of wonderful things, ideas, weekend inspiration and the good things in life.

THIS IS WHAT MAKES US GIRLS
GIRLS by thesecretteaparty
Happy Tuesday lovelies! I wanted to share some things I've been loving so far this month, some of these I actually don't possess yet but they are definitely on my wish list and I've been lusting after them!
The notebook in all its pastel pink glory is by ClapClapDesign on etsy, I adore the design with the illustrated animals, the size is also just too perfect, I love popping little notebooks in my bag or having a stack of them to hand on my bedside table (does anyone else find inspiration/idea/reminders hit you in the middle of the night?)
I'm loving bright, pastel nails, in fact I can't get enough of all the Topshop nail colours, I think I have a slight addiction (I desperately need to buy another clear acrylic nail polish storage stand to store all the stray bottles, what is that all about?!)
Lorde's Pure Heroine is an album I cannot stop listening to, that's not a bad thing though, although my dancing/singing to it playing in hmv proved slightly embarrassing. My lovely OT bought this for me (thanks, Matt!) and it's been played over and over, it's one of those cds I can't leave the house with *cue mini road trip singing to all the tracks*
Now, I don't own this particular record player, or any record player *puts it higher on wishlist* but it's just perfect and after spying it in Urban Outfitters over December I've fallen head over heels for this floral beauty and wanting to buy all those pretty records for it, you know the ones I mean.
These shoes are basically what you'd find on my tootsies as a little girl with mega long hair and frilly ankle socks, and you know what, I want them back in my life. They're amazing, they're super cute, they make me want to wear tea dresses, braid my hair and make daisy chains lying in the grass whilst listening to the Virgin Suicides dreamy soundtrack. Ohh yeah.
Girls, the tv show, it's genuis. If you haven't seen it yet, I won't include any spoilers but only suggest that you immediately add it to your wish/watchlist because you're sure to love it! It's quirky, it's super honest, it's different, it's pretty and grungy at the same time. I love the characters, I love the soundtrack and since last January I've had the urge to dance around my bedroom to Dancing On My Own, cheers Lena Dunham, you're awesome.
