FILM & TV THURSDAYS | POMPEII

I got Pompeii on blu ray as one of my birthday gifts from Matt, it stemmed back from me being so desperate to see it at the cinema but we never got round to it. Being the sweet guy that he is he remembered, obvs, and there it was all wrapped up the day I turned twenty six. 

So we got our living room set up like a mini cinema and watched the epic movie in all its HD glory. It was pretty f**king epic as well, I probably would have left the cinema haha! I'm not gonna say too much but it's centered around a sweet love story (not extremely soppy!) and the natural disaster that happened. You seriously need this in your life!

FILM & TV THURSDAYS | HOMELAND

This month and last actually we've been hooked on Homeland, Danes & Lewis are the best! It's the perfect box set to start the Autumn with and makes me wish I was super clever, able to drive flashy cars and had swishy golden locks like Claire Danes. If you haven't started this epic series, start from season one and fuel up on water and your favourite snack. It's addictive.

FILM & TV THURSDAYS: DEXTER SEASON 2

OK, now we're really late to this show and I know how amazing it is but sometimes you just have to accept that and realise that there's six beautiful seasons ahead of you and nobody can take that away, not nobody, not no how.

So my latest obsession is season 2 of Dexter in all its wicked glory and so far, I'm loving it. It's such a unique show and since I always have some kind of empathy with the bad guy, I'm looking at you Alex DeLarge, Tate Langdon, David from The Lost Boys, I was hooked.

FRIDAY LOVES: NIGHTS IN EDITION

001 saturday nights lately | Since subscribing to netflix we've been finishing off tv shows that we'd started watching. One I've been desperate to finish was season 2 of AHS, Asylum because I'm dying to see season 3, Coven. So it's amazing, if not a little graphic, no spoilers but definitely don't eat when you're watching it! The cast are amazing and Sarah Paulson was definitely my favourite in season 2, her character Lana Winters was the heroine you were desperate to survive until the end, although Lily Rabe as Sister Mary Eunice was also incredible! 

002 Reusable Starbucks cups with my favourite tea, currently Yorkshire Gold. I'm gonna have to purchase more of my all time favourite, Teapigs everyday brew because it's awesome and I miss it. 

003 Topshop nail polishes are a welcome edition to nights in, this one in Cloak and Dagger matched perfectly with endless episodes of AHS

PEOPLE ARE STRANGE

Hello lovelies, hope you all had a gorgeous weekend. Mine was spent sipping wine, hanging out with family, taking glitter bubble baths & wishing we had climbing roses all over the house. What did you lovelies do? Have you seen all of the beautiful pastel colours Bleach London have brought out? So many different hues I'd love to tint my hair with- at the moment it's sea foam green ombre, but I'm getting pretty bored with that and wishing for rosy pink or a violet colour. 

My illustrated a4 prints are still on offer, if you treat yourself to one you get another of your choice for free, perfect for stocking up on early christmas presents, or just as a little extra something for yourself. I've been putting some in vintage frames and they look really lovely, the pastel colours and pencil are compliment so much by a thrifted frame (especially in gold, I love gold ones, don't you?) 

So anyway, I'm off to catch up on American Horror Story and Supernatural, really love these tv shows, especially this time of year when you can throw on a jumper (or three, in my case) and light some pumpkin spice candles and watch them in the dark (or, if you're like me, definitely with the light on)
