today i got my degree. it was lovely, i got what i wanted and it's a good feeling to get recognition for all the hard work you've put into something you genuinely want to do ♥

a project i'm working on for uni. looking at patterns, forest textures, drawing and collage.

i've decided to do a modern take on Little Red Riding Hood for my final major project because there's so many other things going on that don't really suit my style I wanted to at least have one piece of fairytale in there. this is not ever so good quality because of my scanner that isn't bery well at the moment.
i've also been watching lots of lovely charlie and lola, the tudors & labyrinth for the first time :O

postcards & pink hair.

we have postcards to do for uni, mine aren't really what i thought they'd be like (perhaps if we had more time, instead of project after project) they're supposed to be self-promotional cards. but they're pink and they'll do. not really feeling it at the moment. things seem daunting and rather upside down. also, i've dyed my hair pink and these are some pink hair pictures to enjoy, as i don't have any of my own hair ♥ this is actually terrible but at the same time really really cool, Jem the 80's cartoon.

so this is the illustration i did for uni last week, it's for an article in the guardian based on what parents will do when their children leave home. at the moment i'm working on this illustration, it's for the story about the rabbit by kurt schwitters.

really getting into my new copy of The Duchess for my dissertation, watched series one of Gavin & Stacey yesterday- so funny! & fascinated by studio spaces, like Gemma Correll's on share some candy

first university project of the third year♥

excessive noise: an illustration for the guardian on a man who couldn't sleep for all the noises in the world kept him awake & so he set out on his search to find the perfect earplug. I didn't want to use a man, so instead I used a lady butterfly catcher to catch the those pesky fluttering earplugs. This isn't my final one, it's gone missing so I shall have to set out in search for it :(

time travel♥

i bought this yesterday, for £3.60 from hmv. i've seen it everytime i visit the 3 storey waterstone's, it always smiles at me. looks good, want to see the film. very poorly back today, lots of warm tea to keep me warm & a new black top for the autumn. looking at journals, doing more work. can't wait til summer's over & we can all go back to seeing friendly faces again & heading home when the day starts to draw in & car's headlights come on. long night baths & reread books♥

but all i really want to do is drift off into this world...♥

Monday again, this week I really need to be super efficient & stop reading Harry Potter & finally do some uni work, TS Eliot won't read himself! & neither will my stack of imaginary Marie Antoinette books for my dissertation! Ohh sooo bad natasha! So a to do list {see if this works!}

1. Reread TS Eliot & make better notes! not silly ones!

2. Start to read/ order the Marie Antoinette dissertation reading list *you* gave yourself!

3. Start on the book of TS Eliot inspired illustrations/collages/studies

4. Drink plenty of tea with caffeine so as to keep yourself awake!

5. Look at pretty things on flickr/blogs AFTER you've done all of this!

ahhh at last another year of university is finito and this leaves a summer of self led projects, lie ins, tea parties with friends, summer bike rides and making my own website to do. new things are up on my deviant art page http://curethisheart.deviantart.com/ they're bits of forgotten work which i have missed and am rather fond of.

♥ still alot of sticking down but we're nearly there! but what i really want to do is just curl up with a book!

♥ i've been looking at pretty things to start new things for over the summer when all the university work can be put away & forgotten about for abit. i really want to start an etsy shop, i just have to do it, hmmm but what to sell?

getting there. have to redo dream project because it is being very naughty & not behaving.

can't believe i've had no cups of tea today shock horror, it's because it's so hot outside.

i wanted to have a picnic or something, maybe do that tomorrow if it's warm enough.

strawberry tart & tea

it's not fair to be inside on such a lovely day.
still plodding through the last of the uni work & keeping going with a nice cup of tea.
i knew that if i went in fourty four i'd end up spending on more stationery. new lovely books to draw in though, it's deliciousness. i really fancy a strawberry tart, a cold one. but when i went home last week i did have a gorgeous strawberry bubble bath with glitterrrrr x
